You’re writing your autobiography. What’s your opening sentence?

This is a story of finding love after long term continuous trauma, losing the love of my life, and commencing on a journey to find out who I really am as an individual. A long time ago, my adoptive parents met me in a foster home as a tiny baby. They were given the choice to meet other babies but they knew it was only me that was meant to be in their lives right there and then.

I grew up knowing from a very early age that I was chosen and that was special, but not enough to keep me from having challenges with rejection sensitivity issues. My Dad was always cheering me on in my sporting pursuits and I did everything I could to win tournaments to gain his praise. Even if I performed poorly though, he always took us to 7 Eleven for slurpees.

I got into domestically violent relationships and had kids to them, forcing myself into family court scenarios when I finally chose to remove myself from the trauma and abuse.

A lot of this story is yet to be written. It is hard to write a complete autobiography as I’m not dead yet, much to the behest of a few.

I will leave this here as I am not flowing the same way as I was when I first started writing this blog.

All I know is that there are a lot of exciting things in the pipeline and the three (3) DJs (DJ KT18Ø, DJ Min, & DJ Bex) are going to prove that you do not have to be perfect to be happy, nor have come from a perfect path to have a good life.

The story is not finished and there is soooooo much more to come; …

Keep Moving Forward

Please remember that this life is designed to be lived in abundance but there will always be people out there with levels of Machiavelliansim who will destroy you before lifting you up to get what they want out of life. In ethics, we call it Egoism – all for SELF.

If your head looks like this:

Brain in distress; …

… then you need to find a space to be vulnerable and open up to what your own inner demons are. Remember, a problem shared is a problem halved and there is no shame in participating in your own wellbeing improvement to gain a head like this:

Brain in happiness and blooming.

Self care starts with you. Check out this handy chart to brainstorm some ways that you personally wish to practice active therapy and self care:

For today, I will leave you with this quote:

“She is a soldier in the war against herself;”

The heart, the semicolon; and the anchor… Love can help keep us on earth as our story is not over yet…

Until tomorrow, KT18Ø.
